Panoramic photography became popular 100 years ago. Here's a panoramic image taken of the Portland west side riverbank in 1908. Visit the Library of Congres, American Memory project to see the full-size verion of this image and more.

You could go to the same spot today on the east side of the river and take the photo showing how this area has changed if you understand how to create panoramic images. That's what we'll be working on this week.

All of the instructions and some sample files are available for you to play with in the Panoramic Photography Lesson.

You might want to play with these three images for starters but it will be more fun if you go out and take your own.
